Global: OneEgg

Global

Iam convinced that teachers provide a vital presence in the lives of their kids. Teachers spend a great deal of time with students and have the ability to mold young lives.

Take a minute to think back to your elementary school days.

My grade school educators shaped my knowledge, cared about my behavior and treated me with respect.

Not every experience is exactly like that, but for the majority of people, teachers can be role models.

And that’s a concept accepted worldwide.

Mrs. Ranjana Ghimire is the main teacher at the Shree Prajatantra Primary School in Nepal. The school is located in Palpa and is one of 12 OneEgg Nepalese chapters.

Since the implementation of OneEgg, Mrs. Ghimire describes an outstanding improvement in the children’s mental and physical states.

“Many issues such as running nose and other physical ailments have been significantly reduced. We have also noticed improved scores on the inter-school Quiz Contest.”

That’s only half of it; the kids are being more like kids, that is to say, they’re playing more!

Reports like that are music to OneEgg’s ears, who believe that getting animal protein in the hands of the next generation can provide a huge impact.

One egg a day improves immunity problems, poor concentration and delayed growth. The school in Nepal has witnessed it firsthand, and OneEgg chapters in seven other countries say the same!

What a difference something so small can provide. I’m grateful for how OneEgg ministers to orphans and vulnerable children. Join me in praying over this ministry and the children who receive support from them.
