Project Description

The Winstead Family

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

The Winstead family is serving in Kandern, Germany, at Black Forest Christian Fellowship (BFCF), an international church made up of people from more than 35 nations. BFCF serves missionaries, expatriates, missionary children attending Black Forest Academy, and believers from around the world. Steve serves as the Pastor of Teaching and an Elder, equipping the church through expository preaching, discipleship, and leadership development. Margaret invests in women through discipleship relationships and Bible studies for teachers and women in the church.

Before moving to Germany, Steve and his family served for five and a half years in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where Steve was the Lead Pastor of the International Evangelical Church (IEC). Prior to serving in Ethiopia, Steve led more than 70 international mission trips through Downline Ministries and Harvest Church with the primary purpose of training the global church to make disciples. Through every season of ministry, God has continued to deepen the Winsteads’ love for healthy local churches and His heart for the nations.

Steve and Margaret have four sons. Samuel and Noah are both in college, while Benjamin and Daniel attend Black Forest Academy. As a family, they are grateful for the opportunity to serve Christ alongside an international church family while investing in missionaries, expatriates, and the next generation of gospel leaders.
