Project Description
The Winstead Family is serving in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in the Horn of Africa. Before moving to Ethiopia, Steve led over 70 foreign mission trips through Downline Ministries and Harvest Church for the primary purpose of training the global church in making disciples. During this time, God has continued to grow a love for healthy local churches all around the world!
Steve serves as the Lead Pastor of the International Evangelical Church (IEC). IEC has a robust history and diversified ministries among Ethiopians and expatriates. Located on a campus within view of the African Union complex, IEC has a congregation from more than 60 nationalities. IEC is a church with ministries to children, youth, young adults, and adults through missions, outreach, and discipleship. Church leadership and several members lead and serve with ministries to the many orphans living on the streets. IEC also has ministries in Mandarin, Korean, French, and Amharic.
Steve and Margaret have four amazing boys, Samuel, Noah, Benjamin, and Daniel, who all attend Bingham Academy in Addis Ababa.
