Project Description
The Albania TBRI Project integrates trauma-informed care and the gospel to bring hope, healing, and restoration to children, teens, families, and ministry leaders. This 10–12 day mission initiative partners with existing ministries to equip them with Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) tools—helping create safe, connected environments that foster emotional regulation, learning, and spiritual growth, and that help address the adverse experiences many children have faced.
Key Ministry Focus Areas:
- Serving Marginalized Communities: Partnering with a Literacy and Bible Program to assist leaders in implementing TBRI strategies that address trauma through an evidence-based and faith-based approach, strengthen literacy skills, and deepen understanding of the gospel.
- Mentoring Pre-Teen and Teen Girls: Leading pre-teen and teen girls’ classes that focus on emotional awareness, confidence, and faith, providing mentorship and support to help them build resilience and a secure identity in Christ.
- Supporting Women in Ministry: Hosting a Rest and Renewal Day to reduce burnout and provide faith-based tools for emotional, spiritual, and mental well-being.
- Strengthening Families Through Faith: Organizing Mother–Daughter gatherings and Christmas celebrations for the pre-teen and teen girls and their mothers, creating opportunities to connect, nurture faith, and share the true meaning of Christmas.
Through these efforts, the project seeks to support people holistically—addressing both emotional and spiritual needs while reflecting the love of Jesus in every relationship and community served.
