Project Description
Point Honduras is a Christ-centered nonprofit organization serving since 2009 in four of Tegucigalpa’s most vulnerable neighborhoods. Our mission is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ while meeting the physical, educational, emotional, and spiritual needs of children and their families. Each weekday, we care for over 820 students through holistic programs designed to break cycles of poverty and open doors to a brighter future.
- Educational Program: We provide free tutoring for students in grades 1–6, along with two fully accredited kindergarten programs, giving children the tools to succeed academically.
- Nutritional Program: Every weekday, 820 children receive hot, nutritious meals that support their health and improve school performance.
- Medical Program: Through three community clinics and one dental clinic, we offer free medical consultations and medicines to reduce health disparities for children, their families, and their neighbors.
- Spiritual Growth: Once a week, children are guided through Bible teachings from Genesis to Revelation, nurturing their faith and helping them grow in the knowledge of Christ.
