Orphanos is a 100% pass-through organization, meaning that 100% of every dollar that comes through the foundation goes directly to the purpose for which it was intended. We are very grateful for those donations which come designated for the children, but we are also grateful for those donations that come to us desidnated for our administrative expenses. Those donors are glad to know according to our 2008 IRS Form 990 tax return, our actual administrative overhead to run the organization was a low 10% (Compare that to United Way which is 20% and they charge that fee to every donation!).
