Project Description

For over 10 years, OneEgg and its partner organizations have pursued a simple, straightforward mission: get eggs to children. Science shows animal protein has a significant role in child mental and physical development, particularly in preschool-aged children. In developing countries, many children and their families do not have access to animal protein, satisfying their hunger with readily-available starches – at the expense of their nutritional needs. OneEgg partners with businesses and organizations to establish sustainable poultry production systems and access to eggs for children. OneEgg’s partner chapters have provided eggs to over 10 million children since its beginning, with chapters located in Ethiopia, Haiti, Honduras, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, and Rwanda, where they provide eggs to thousands of children. OneEgg partners with companies, churches, schools, and individuals to bring protein to children and hope to communities, and wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of private donors.
