A Good Sunday

Today was a really enjoyable day. The team was up early and everyone got ready for church. The kids all attend a little Mennonite Brethren church about a mile down the road (which is barely more than a dirt trail) because its about their only church option. We enjoyed the service a lot, especially the singing. No instruments were available, so everyone just clapped in rhythm and sang loudly.
After church we loaded the kids up in the orphanage van (there was 22 people in a 12 passenger van!) and went down to the beach. It's their normal Sunday afternoon schedule, so of course we obligdged them and went along. (Sometimes mission work can be tough, eh?).
After about 2 hours of fun, the rains came down in buckets! Now we understand why this is a tropical island. Hot hot sun, and heavy heavy rains! Still, we had a lot of fun with the kids and it was a great day for us all.
