In and Out, In and Out, etc..

It finally feels like Fall! This has been a long dry summer for us in the Memphis area. Not that we were here much, but at least the cooler weather has finally arrived and the leaves are starting to change and drop off the trees. It feels nice, and it's nice to be home.
This past month has been a busy one of travel (seems like we've said that before this year!). Of course most of it is Wayne going, and Audrey and Angela holding down the fort at home. However, A2 did travel some this month. Read on for details.
Wayne had a meeting in Mississippi the evening of October 16th. It was a little bit of bad timing because he was supposed to be in Atlanta early on the 17th. Well you know Wayne, not to let that little detail stop him. He drove to MS for the meeting, and then drove all night long to Atlanta arriving about 2 hours before he was scheduled to speak to a group about the Standards of Excellence. It didn't take him long to realize he's not as young as he used to be, and those all nighters take more of a toll than they used to. Well he made it, spoke, and then crashed in a room at the conference center. This was all at the FSTML conference he goes to every year, so for the next few days he also attended that, although he didn't lead worship as he has so many times in the past.
Angela and Audrey made a quick trip to see her mom over the weekend Wayne was gone. It turned out to be a great time, and Wayne even surprised them by driving there on his way home from Atlanta. So late on Sunday all three Sneed's drove home to Memphis in two cars.
By Wednesday Wayne was back out again on his way to the Amazon River in Colombia. Lucy Palma runs one of our partner homes there. He and 4 others had a great visit (although it took them 2 days just to get there!) and Lucy really was encouraged by their visit. We hope to do a lot more in the years to come with this home.
Two days after the Colombia trip, the Sneed 3 were on the road yet again. This time it was for play! We believe there is a time and place for mission work in the third world, and there is a time and place for fun in the first world. This was the later! Audrey got her first taste of American overindulgence and dream world living: DISNEYWORLD! And boy was it fun! We took Grace and Gramma Kathy with us also. Audrey was blessed to meet all 6 of the Disney Princesses along with several other characters. Angela got some shopping in (of course) and the rest of us enjoyed a few rides and shows. It was really a blessing to get to go.
November will be fairly quiet for traveling, although we have a lot of catch up work in the office to do. December 15th is our HUGE Memphis Messiah concert. www.memphismessiah.org We would really appreciate your prayers for that, as well as for our quiet time as a family. It seems harder and harder to find.
Thank you for all your support and prayers!
Grace and Peace to you,
Audrey, Angela, and Wayne
