March Madness

First let me say thank you for praying about my trip to Zambia. It was really a blessing. I'm going to try to post some photos, so look at the photobook to the left of this text and see if there is something on Zambia there.
In Zambia my main responsibility was to assist our staff member Janet Sisco in getting herself established. She will be moving there for two years to work in another organization. We were able to get her set up, and everything is great. We have had a great time with Janet, and know that she will be missed.
Also, while in Zambia I was blessed to teach missions at a remote jungle Bible School. That was really enjoyable. I also was asked to preach at a remote village church. That too was an experience I won't forget. Watch for more details in our newsletter.
This past weekend and during this week we are in Mission Conference here at our home church in Memphis. I have had the blessing of speaking in homes and Sunday School classes. Wednesday night I will lead a prayer time for the entire congregation about spiritual issues in Latin America. I'm looking forward to that.
Then this Friday I leave for a quick trip to Peru. We have some donors who are funding a ministry there to very poor children in the slums. Its a lot like an AWANA club if you are familiar with those. Myself and 3 other men will be meeting with their board and discussing their future plans and strategies, as well as funding options and possibilities. I would appreciate your prayers while I'm there.
Later in the month we have a good friend named Lisa coming for a visit. Angela and I are so excited to spoil her for the 4 days she is here. Now you must understand, Lisa is a missionary in New Guinea. Lisa lives in the jungle. I mean, REAL jungle. She has to take a dugout canoe for several days just to get to a city that has roads. So that she is stopping in at our house for a few days just to R&R is such a blessing to us.
I have to add one little note on Audrey. Her birthday is this month, and we plan on having a little party for her and some of her friends. She is turning 4, and everybit the full grown teen-ager: if you know what I mean. One thing we are proud of is her ability to memorize scripture. She is 3 yrs old, and already has 65 verses committed to memory. It's really wonderful to listen to her say them. And we can tell that somethings are taking root! The other day, while playing with a friend, she pretended to draw her sword and began quoting bible verses to the little boy (who was pretending to be Mr. Evil). Audrey picked up that skill watching "Bibleman" videos her Uncle Billy sent her. She also asked me last week, "Daddy, if I'm born again do I have to get in mommy's tummy again?" OK little Nicodemus! At least she's thinking about stuff!
April, May and June have plenty of their own things on the schedule, so I'll save those for later.
We appreciate your prayers and friendship!
