Here we go again...
posted by Richard and Ximena Roseland — April 29th, 2010
Ximena and I were driving back from saying goodbye to one of our good friends and supporters in Corpus Christi, Texas when Ximena said those exact words..."Here we go again..." It is an exciting time for us, knowing that we are following God's will and finally being able to get back on the field, but at the same time it is a sad time of having to say goodbye to friends and family.
I learned a very valuable lesson from Lindsey, a fellow missionary that we worked alongside in Queretaro, Mexico. She taught me that to help a plant grow and prosper that you have to uproot it from the soil, shake out and detangle the roots from the old soil, and then replant it. We know that it is a time of uprooting and replanting, which is difficult but at the same time stimulates growth for us. We know that it will be a painful process, but a great time to grow in our relationship with God. Please pray for us during this process.
We are leaving today at 3 PM and arriving in Quito, Ecuador about 9 PM. We will immediately be looking for a house and car upon arrival and trying to get settled. Gustavo will then be joining us 4 weeks later. We wanted to be able to at least have a house ready before having him join us. Please pray that we will be able to get settled as quickly as possible to be able to begin helping out where we are needed.
Well, I would just like to thank each and every one of your for joining us on this journey. We have seen God do amazing things through such wonderful people and His provision has been shown through every step of the way. We will try to update once we arrive to let you know how things are going. Please pray that through everything, we will continue to depend on God and that through every trial and difficulty that we will turn to our Father for His peace.
May God continually bless each one of you,
Richard, Ximena, Gustavo, and Santiago

Hello Ximena and Richard,
We are glad for you escaping from the Texas heat this summer. May you have a wonderful ministry in Quito. We hope to see you guys in December. Ercilia and I and the kids have a long trip ahead of us this summer. We are going North and West. Sorry that we didn't see you before you leave for Ecuador. But we are happy how the Lord leads you. May the Lord use you for His Glory.
