Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
We are blessed beyond what we can say and definitely more than we deserve! God has been good to us!
As you probably know, we had a very intense storm here, in November and it blew away a big part of the roof in my house. This roof was already causing us trouble and maybe this was a way that God used to bless us with a new roof! We were blessed that none of our children were hurt, but for the first time since I have lived here, we actually saw a tornado which touched down, not far from our farm. We had some damage there, but most of our damage was in our home, since it is one of the tallest buildings.
Once again we cried for help. Once again God came to our rescue through friends and churches who took upon themselves the task of fundraising for our need here. We can only say thank you SO MUCH for being there for us one more time! We are truly blessed!
An added blessing is that we were able to move my bedroom downstairs. When I built this house I imagined that I would sit on my balcony in my old age and watch what was going on at Lar from there. I never thought it would be so hard to get to the balcony as I age. We adapted a room downstairs with a beautiful bathroom and I now live on the ground level. It is almost ready and I am very happy with this.
Once again, I want to thank everyone who God used to bless us in this time of need. I know that the needs around us are so big, yet you have taken good care of me.
My thoughts and prayers have been with the people of Haiti. Oh how I have wished to open our home and receive many Haitian children here… God know if that is ever a legal possibility we will be open to blessing others.
Our Christmas was wonderful as we had so many of our children at home.
Also the team from Orphanos brought great fun and excitement to our home. Once again our children felt loved and appreciated as these brothers and sisters chose to spend Christmas with them! May God bless each one on the team and we just cannot repay you for the joy you brought to our hearts. Several on that team had not seen me healthy, since when they came I was so sick. It was a joy to show them around campus and talk about what the LORD has done!

Please keep us in your prayers as we continue to serve the Lord here. I specifically ask you to pray for my daughter Raquel who has had some serious health issues and will need a full hysterectomy and a second surgery as well. Her procedure will be on February 26th and we need your prayers, support and encouragement for her. Raquel is a great blessing for us here at Lar, helping with all the legal paperwork for our home and children.
May God continue to bless you with more of Him in 2010!
We love you!
In Jesus,
Pai
